It’s been an exciting week at Vantage Point Solutions as the home-grown broadband development company marked the grand opening of a 25,000 square foot expansion that included a visit by Governor Dennis Daugaard.
The company has come a long way since its start in 2002 and CEO and founder Larry Thompson credits the employees for much of Vantage Point’s success. He says in 2014 it became an ESOP/employee-owned company.
“All of our employees, after they’ve been here a year, have the opportunity of being a part of the ESOP, which means they can share in Vantage Point stock and Vantage Point profits, “ said Thompson. “All of their hard work they kind of get direct pay off through the ESOP.”
Thompson said last year alone the ESOP increased over 13%. Vantage point employs 250 people across the nation with 150 of those based in Mitchell.
