Mitchell Police are investigating the death of a 52 year old man whose body was discovered mid-morning Monday.Lieutenant Don Everson says police were called to the 1600 block of South Burr at 10:22 on a report of a suspicious vehicle that was parked with its engine running. During the investigation officers found the body of a deceased male in an open filed a short distance from the car. Everson says it appears the victim had been driving the car before he died. He says the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious and an autopsy is planned. Everson says the investigation is ongoing.
