Soil health important to large fast food chain

One of the world’s largest fast food chains considers soil health to be among its most important features of sustainability.

“As a food company, we don’t have a product without soil and without the people who care for that soil.”

Townsend Bailey, with McDonald’s tells Brownfield that sustainability, including healthy soil, is about doing the right thing, running an efficient business and giving customers what they want.

“Being able to provide them transparency, and being able to show them in real, concrete ways that we, as a company, care about the same things they care about is what is important for them.”

Bailey spoke at the Soil Health Summit in St.
