Severe weather damages farms in southeast Minnesota

 

Severe weather is responsible for some farm damage in southeastern Minnesota.

Minnesota Ag Commissioner Dave Frederickson says thunderstorms moved from the Waterville area up through Northfield Thursday night, leaving a wake of destruction.

“We’re hearing that at least four tornadoes were on the ground in the Faribault area at the same time.  The storm moved fast.  Not to mention all of the rain that we’ve had now, so we have some infrastructure damage across that area.”

He tells Brownfield FEMA will be assessing the damage.
