Missouri pesticide misuse complaints rising

The Missouri Department of Agriculture received 200 pesticide misuse complaints as of Monday – 139 are alleged dicamba injuries to a variety of crops including more than 20,000 acres of soybeans. Nearly half of the complaints are from Southeast Missouri.

July 15th was the cut off day to apply dicamba pesticides to dicamba-tolerant soybeans and cotton in Missouri.

Sixteen complaints are alleged 2,4-D misuse that has injured an additional 80 acres of soybeans and more than 1,000 acres of cotton.
