Covered versus traditional cattle feeding

Lincoln University is a Missouri Land Grant institution that’s one of several doing research on feeding cattle under cover versus feeding in traditional uncovered pens.  George Washington Carver Experiment Farm Manager Jeremiah Markway says the set of heifers fed in a hoop enclosure gain better and get to finish faster.

The research is partly funded by the Missouri Agriculture Foundation in an effort to determine cost effectiveness of feeding cattle in Missouri.
